The good news is that walking can strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. Just like any other muscle, the best way to strengthen your pelvic muscles is to use them.
I’m now on the second lot of weights - I insert them when I get up, then I go downstairs to get a coffee, which I take back to bed. I do my bible reading, then I do the exercises before removing the weights.
I am feeling the pelvic muscles working as I use them now, which I couldn’t really do at the beginning. I’m also pleased that I can hold for 10 secs, I just hope I’m doing them properly!
I guess time will tell whether I can go back to wearing normal knickers instead of wearing period pants every day ‘just in case’!
I've used this a few time now and really noticed the difference. I previously used a well known brand of lubricant but found it has started to leave me feeling irritated and itchy. When I use 'Yes Natural Water-Based Lubricant' it just feels natural and I have no irritation or soreness.
I have now been using the Secret Whispers Kegel Balls for almost 3 weeks, long enough to establish a daily habit (first thing when I wake). I am very happy this product comes with such good information - a 6 step exercise program, different Kegel Ball Weights; and an eBook resource for further reading. Whereas I have tried kegel exercises in the past I never persevered. Now, I feel very motivated to work my way through the 6 step program and then continue doing kegel exercises for years to come. As a 75 year old weight lifter it was disappointing to be told that the strength of my pelvic muscles was given a rating of only 2 out of 5! I am definitely wanting to make that 5 out of 5 !

This has been a life-changing 30 days. I have learned to do Kegels properly (took me ages to get the breathing right but now it's pretty well second nature) and have got into a very good habit of when I get up, going into the spare room and doing Kegels, and squats and step-ups with Kegels. I tried most of the Yoga stretches, but those good old faithful are the ones that suit me best (old and stiff) and seem most in line with running, my chosen exercise activity. Undoubtedly my bladder control is better, also my bowel control is more reliable. It was a Secret Whispers blog that made me realise that I have a bowel prolapse, and I am now part of an NHS queue to - perhaps - have something 'medical' done about it. I am rather wary of this, I have read too many horror stories about 'mesh' inserts, but I will wait and see. It is great that what you offer is now freely available to women, literally millions must have suffered unnecessarily in the past. This is my second challenge and knowing I was going to do it kept me on track after finishing my first one. This time, I’ve really appreciated Julie’s quick responses to questions I’ve asked about problems that I’ve had and I’m delighted to say her advice has worked. Distraction is a wonderful thing! To know more, you’ll have to sign up for a challenge and I thoroughly recommend that you do. You will learn a great deal about your body, how it works and how to help it. So this is my third challenge & it's nearly over ☹️. So what can you expect?
Firstly you get to understand just what a Kegel is & how to do them correctly. Then you get daily exercises to incorporate your Kegels. Throughout you get continued information & support from Julie. Questions are answered & you get to know your pelvic floor. You feel part of a caring group & most importantly you do something for yourself . I wouldn't hesitate to encourage anyone to give it a go , nothing to lose & so much to gain
Absolutely delighted with the results after only 1 week. Luckily, I only suffered with 'back door syndrome' , but have seen such a difference already.
I make sure I do my exercises straight after my shower first thing in the morning, whilst drying my hair and applying my make up, that way I know I'm keeping to the plan.

Exercises are different and motivate you together. You learn a lot about working this muscle. Julie is so supportive and always replies to everyone which makes it all the more personal and helpful to everyone.
So pleased I joined. This is really the start and need to revisit the daily exercises to continue to improve, as use the legal weights I have bought to improve further.
I bought kegel weights over 18 months ago and never really used them properly or for any length of time. This programme, with Julie's daily activities and guidance, has made all the difference. I am really starting to feel a difference in my pelvic floor strength and I will continue with the exercises after the 30 days. It's given me much greater insight into my body and how to get things back on track. I was worried that I would feel embarrassed about joining the group but how much you share is entirely up to you. The group has been very encouraging and supportive and Julie's appoach really motivates you. So pleased that I enrolled - I should have done it sooner!
Doing the challenge for me has been the best thing in getting me started on actually doing the exercises and staying committed and accountable. Julie Çolan provides exercises and support for the pelvic floor. She supports us throughout the 30-day session, and encourages us to support and advise each other. If for any reason we can’t do the exercises, so long as we do the basics, Julie has our backs.
I have made several attempts to follow the program that came with my Kegel weights but each time I have only managed a few days and then given up. Signing up to this challenge has encouraged me to stick with it and shown me how quick and easy it is to exercise my pelvic floor each day.
I am sleeping better because I do not need to use the toilet as often in the night and I feel more confident when I go out without wearing a pad.
