I bet you had to read that heading a few times. When this woman told me THAT THIS was what her doctor had said to her, I was shocked and very outraged.
"It’s become apparent over the last few days that I potentially have a type of prolapse happening and am generally feeling quite unwell and uncomfortable.
A call to the doctor included this comment “if your vagina falls out, don’t worry it’s like a child’s stress toy, just pop it back in”
It was meant as help..it was a lady doctor and she was really nice about it but it entered me into a rabbit hole of research and realising how common prolapses are and how little is being done about them...lots of women are just living with it. Ladies...if you take anything from this post DO YOUR PELVIC FLOOR EXERCISES EVERY DAY! RIGHT NOW..._DO THEM RIGHT NOW! ”

“Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” (Mark Twain)
Studies have shown that when we show generosity to others, our bodies actually release various hormones such as serotonin, oxytocin and endorphins. These can improve our overall health and wellbeing. Oxytocin has shown to help lower blood pressure and increase feelings of optimism. Serotonin makes us happier and calmer.
So kindness just keeps giving!
What is Sexual and Reproductive Health Awareness Day and when and why do we observe its existence?
Sexual and Reproductive Health Awareness Day is an event that takes place in the second week of February, but, more specifically, on 12th February every year. You may be surprised or even confused that such a day or event exists, but upon further reading and education, this day is, in our eyes, incredibly important and valuable, for people of all ages, backgrounds and sexual orientations.
Eleven years ago, Galentine’s Day saw its first appearance in our world, on the screens of the American series Parks and Recreation. Galentine’s Day, in case you were confused, is indeed the celebration of the love and appreciation we have for our girlfriends. Galentine’s Day falls on a Saturday this year, there are various ways to get your girlie tribe together.
Both our roles are for those in the government Kickstart Scheme, for those aged 16 to 24 years old on Universal Credit. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative digital marketing apprentice and ecommerce apprentice to join our team within our women’s healthcare company to improve our presence online to generate new sales and customers.
This week is Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week and Secret Whispers wants to raise awareness as well as highlight how they help a local charity, and how you can help, too.
For the last few months, I have been working with The Zinthiya Trust, a Leicester based charity, which helps vulnerable people, who have suffered from abuse, violence and poverty. Whilst their services are open to everyone, a big part of the charity also helps women and girls, who have been subjected to domestic abuse, honour-based violence & FGM (female genital mutilation). Many of those victims face adverse circumstances and live in dire circumstances and severe poverty, before they get help and support from The Zinthiya Trust.
Everything You Need to Know About Using Menstrual Cups
What is a menstrual cup? Why are they better than traditional tampons and pads? How do I know what size I need? How to use a menstrual cup? How often do you empty a menstrual cup? How far do you insert a menstrual cup? Can I go swimming with period cup? How do you take out a menstrual cup without making a mess? Can I use a period cup if I have an IUD?
I started my company Secret Whispers quite by accident. It was January 2018 and I was reading an article that said “regardless of how amazing you may think your pelvic floor is, the likelihood of developing an issue goes up by 50% with the onset of perimenopause”.
